Curriculum
At Bumbles, our curriculum is guided by children's interests, fostering a play- based approach where learning is led by the child. Through meaningful, high- quality interactions, we create an environment that nurtures rich vocabulary
development and effective communication skills.
Our goals for every child are to:
• Develop into skilled communicators with a strong foundation in
language and social interaction. (C&L)
• Become confident, independent learners who are fully prepared for
school. (PSED)
• Enable children to have happy, healthy and active experiences, providing
outdoor learning opportunities. (PD)
• Develop a life-long love of reading, where they enjoy shared reading,
singing and rhymes. (Lit)
• Develop ‘have a go’ positive attitude and use a variety of mathematical
language. (M)
• Gain real-world experiences through community visits and hands on
learning opportunities. (UW)
• Build on their imagination, creativity and self-expression to become
proud of their achievements. (EAD)
• Thrive in an inclusive, nurturing environment tailored to their individual
needs, enabling them to reach their full potential.
• Understand boundaries and expected behaviours, modelled consistently
by our dedicated staff team.
• Develop a lifelong passion for learning through engaging and stimulating
experiences.
By prioritising these key areas, we ensure that every child at Bumbles Nursery
is empowered to develop the skills, confidence and resilience needed to navigate the world around them.
Our curriculum is adapted for each room: Baby Bees, Honey Bees and Bizzy Bees. This enables learning to be carefully sequenced and developed
throughout each child’s individual journey with us.
